Join our dedicated team at Premier Healthcare Service as a Certified Medication Assistant (CMA)

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Administering oral, inhalation, and topical medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state regulations.
  • Monitoring patients for any adverse drug reactions and promptly reporting concerns to nursing staff.
  • Carrying out medication administration tasks, which encompass checking patient vital signs, calculating medication dosages, and maintaining the medication cart.
  • Documenting medication administration in compliance with agency protocols.
  • Supporting nursing staff in delivering care to residents, which involves observing and communicating resident needs.
  • Performing duties within the scope of your education and training.
  • Taking responsibility for your performance in line with state laws and regulations.
  • Executing tasks ethically, legally, and compassionately.
  • Ensuring tasks are performed safely and effectively to promote resident comfort and well-being.
  • Upholding resident rights.
  • Safeguarding confidential resident information unless disclosure is necessary for safety and welfare.
  • Adhering to federal, state, and agency guidelines to protect your health and that of others.
  • Seeking assistance from nursing staff as necessary to ensure safe and efficient task execution.
  • Possessing experience with Medication Administration Records (MAR) and electronic devices.

Qualifications:
  • Must be registered with the state as a Certified Medication Assistant.
  • Successful completion of state background checks and drug screenings.
  • CPR/BLS, First Aid, TB, and CMA certification required.
  • Prior experience is essential.

Compensation is negotiable based on experience. We are currently looking for two overnight CMAs to work from 7 PM to 7 AM on an alternating schedule, with every other weekend required.
