Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and coordinate the delivery of patient care, ensuring that all nursing staff are working together to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with the nurse manager to develop and implement unit goals, objectives, and policies, ensuring alignment with the hospital's strategic plan.
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous learning.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing evidence-based practices to enhance patient care.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, hospital policies, and professional standards.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program, Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
- At least two years' experience as a Registered Nurse, with a strong background in leadership and management.
- Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia required.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
