This position is classified as non-exempt and compensated on an hourly basis. The average compensation mentioned includes base wages for typical hours worked and average incentive earnings for this role over a twelve-month period. All compensation figures are estimates and do not guarantee any specific hourly wage or incentive earnings, nor predict future performance.

Role Overview:

Aarons Retail Sales Leaders play a crucial role in enhancing our customer experience and guiding them towards ownership by spearheading the store's sales and marketing initiatives. In this capacity, you will shape the outstanding experience that bolsters our reputation and fosters customer loyalty, acting as the brand representative for all Aarons offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster genuine customer relationships that support ownership aspirations and drive sales.
  • Oversee the store's sales operations by establishing and meeting daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets, which encompass both internal and external sales; including daily updates to the goal board.
  • Generate new business opportunities through the development and execution of community marketing strategies.
  • Review and finalize lease agreements, ensuring customer identification, collecting payments, and obtaining necessary signatures.
  • Assist the General Manager with operational tasks, including regular inventory checks, routine service calls, stock balancing, and product exchanges.
  • Support the General Manager in product procurement, planning for upcoming sales and events, and driving sales objectives with Customer Service Representatives and delivery personnel.
  • Manage customer service inquiries and collaborate with service vendors to guarantee an exceptional customer experience.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by implementing the Aarons customer service program and addressing customer concerns promptly.
  • Oversee the efficient operation of the cleaning station in the warehouse, ensuring merchandise is organized and presentable.
  • Clean and certify returned merchandise in the cleaning center.
  • Maintain a well-stocked and orderly showroom floor in accordance with Aarons standards.
  • Be prepared to assist with deliveries when necessary.
  • Safely operate company vehicles as required.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 21 years old in the United States with a valid state Driver's License and comply with the Company’s Driver Qualification Policy, including a satisfactory driving record.
  • Must meet DOT requirements for certification in applicable states (United States).
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule ranging from 8 am to 9 pm.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently and up to 300 lbs. with assistance.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Two years of college or two years of prior management experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • High energy level with the ability to multitask effectively across all store functions.
  • Professional telephone etiquette.
  • Commitment to upholding the Aarons Brand and safeguarding company assets.
  • General product knowledge preferred.
  • Maintain a professional appearance.
  • Proficient in computer skills.
