Position Overview:
Title: Project Manager Information Security
Location: Remote (must be able to work CST)
Duration: 6 Months with a possibility to extend 6 more months
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.
- Oversee all aspects of Project Management functions and activities.
- Identify and resolve issues and risks promptly to ensure project success.
- Provide leadership and mentorship on project management best practices, including scope, time, cost, communications, and risk management.
- Define and communicate the responsibilities and accountability of all project staff.
- Identify and eliminate cross-organizational barriers affecting multiple projects.
- Collaborate with senior management across IT and business areas to achieve project goals.
- Consult with IT and Business Leaders to assess initial investment initiatives, ensuring accuracy in project financials.
- Direct and manage project staff, focusing on talent management and succession planning.
- Establish and maintain consistency in project management practices across all projects.
- Build a community of practice among project managers to share best practices and lessons learned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a senior-level Project Manager leading large-scale technical security projects.
- Strong background in information security, with at least 5 years dedicated to Cyber Security projects.
- Experience managing multi-million dollar projects involving multiple vendors and Managed Service Providers (MSPs).
- Solid financial acumen in project accounting, budgeting, and operational costs.
- Ability to manage and drive multiple projects simultaneously.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in security tool implementations and upgrades, including but not limited to CyberArk, Palo Alto Prisma Cloud, and CrowdStrike.
- In-depth knowledge of project management practices and processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of business partners.
- Strong leadership and management skills demonstrating integrity and professionalism.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred in a related field.
- Minimum of ten years of relevant work experience, including five years in a management role.
- Relevant certifications are preferred.
Soft Skills:
- Self-directed and capable of working independently.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage ambiguity.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to drive results.
- Effective in managing relationships with MSPs and vendors.
