Job Summary

The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our members and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform general housekeeping duties in all areas of the facility, including offices, common areas, locker rooms, bathrooms, and parking lot.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Restock bathroom and locker room supplies, and ensure that all areas are well-stocked and clean.
  • Remove trash and recyclables, and maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Assist with setting up meeting spaces and other projects as needed.
  • Attend staff meetings and coordinate with Program Directors to ensure facilities are clean and ready for our members.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and training.
  • Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.

Working Conditions

This is a part-time position, working variable shifts, including weekends. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team, and will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
