NICU Per Diem Registered Nurse Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our NICU team on a per diem basis. As a NICU Per Diem Registered Nurse, you will provide professional nursing care to critically ill newborns and their families, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest level of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized, age-specific, and direct bedside nursing care to critically ill newborns and their families.
  • Coordinate care planning with other disciplines to ensure comprehensive and effective patient care.
  • Act as a supervisor, assessing, planning, delegating, and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care.
  • Systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals and participate in hourly rounding.
  • Observe safety guidelines and safe work practices, and may be asked to be in charge for a shift(s).
Requirements:
  • License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
  • CPR certification.
  • ACLS certification as applicable by Facility/by Department.
  • Minimum of two years of current Level III NICU experience, including neonatal ventilator.
  • Preferred experience in acute care, with certification in specialty area of practice.
