Position Overview
Community Medical and Dental Care Inc. is seeking a dedicated part-time Vision Rehabilitation Specialist to enhance our team. In this role, you will focus on delivering therapeutic interventions to individuals with visual challenges, aiming to improve their daily living skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to create tailored rehabilitation and instructional strategies based on thorough assessments and individual goals.
- Suggest suitable mobility aids and systems, including human guides, canine assistance, long canes, electronic travel aids, and other adaptive devices.
- Distribute low-vision aids and monitor client progress to adjust rehabilitation plans as necessary.
- Document assessments, training sessions, progress, and follow-up results through comprehensive reports.
- Work alongside specialists such as rehabilitation counselors, speech therapists, and occupational therapists to develop effective client solutions.
- Provide educational support and consultations to groups, including parents and educators.
- Engage in professional development activities, including literature review, continuing education, and collaboration with peers.
- Refer clients to additional services such as eye care, health care, rehabilitation, and counseling to improve visual and functional capabilities when necessary.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Exceptional patient care abilities.
- Strong listening skills and empathy for the visually impaired community.
- In-depth knowledge of visual impairment causes and effects.
- Educational Requirements: A Master's degree is mandatory; qualifications such as PA, NP, MD, or PhD are preferred.
- A minimum of five years of relevant experience is required.
