Compensation

As a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $145,000 per year, based on experience. Additionally, you will be eligible for ongoing performance reviews and merit increases.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Understanding bid items, basis of estimate, and skills required to identify errors and discrepancies in plans and specifications.
  • Developing a comprehensive knowledge of reading plans, specifications, request for proposal, request for information, addendums, technical special provisions, and other relevant documents.
  • Creating job budgets for awarded contracts and performing accurate quantity takeoffs within the allotted timeframe.
  • Bid strategy development, cost savings initiatives, and management skills are also essential components of this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this position, you must possess:

  • A minimum of 13 years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction, with a focus on estimating and contract management.
  • A B.S. in Engineering or Construction Management degree, with a strong understanding of bridge and roadway construction.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to teach and mentor junior engineers.
  • Possession of 30-Hour OSHA training and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Scheduling software (P6 Primavera), and Heavy Bid from HCSS.
