We are looking for a skilled MOPA Laser Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team at Vital Chemicals USA LLC. This role is pivotal in the production of MOPA lasers and associated systems, ensuring high-quality manufacturing processes.
Location: Fremont, California, United States
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the manufacturing processes of MOPA lasers.
- Develop, plan, execute, and report on manufacturing methodologies.
- Engage directly with clients to define product specifications, quality standards, and execution strategies.
- Innovate new techniques and protocols to enhance product reliability and address component failure modes.
- Monitor and rectify product failures during the New Product Introduction (NPI) phase and regular production.
- Ensure the implementation of automated data collection systems and instrument control, providing comprehensive reports and analyses.
- Disseminate findings and results to relevant business units.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a technical discipline with over 10 years of relevant experience.
Essential Skills
- Expertise in continuous improvement methodologies.
- In-depth knowledge of MOPA lasers, YAG technology, high-power lasers, and ultrafast lasers.
- Proven ability to lead teams and collaborate with international counterparts.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- General understanding of optics, fiber optics, electronics, mechanical engineering, and chemistry.
- Experience with automated data collection systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate work plans and resource requirements.
