Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Chief Electrical Engineer to lead our electrical and controls design team for Sciaky products in a cost-effective manner, adhering to our Quality Management Systems to ensure compliance with standards and specifications. This role is based at our Chicago office and offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the electrical and controls design team to design system schematics, electrical wiring, and panel layouts.
- Develop and implement designs that meet customer requirements with minimal supervision.
- Interpret product/machine specifications derived from internal and external sources.
- Experience designing power distribution and related control circuits, process controls, and drive systems.
- Familiarization with equipment powered by 480/400/600/220 VAC 3ph. 50/60hz, 10 to 400 amps.
- Experience releasing electrical drawings packages for manufacture.
- Strong documentation/drawing revision control background.
- Experience designing with EPLAN Electric P8 and Bentley Microstation V8 CAD system.
- Experience designing and creating documentation for electrical panels consisting of assembly and wiring drawings, BOM's, and associated layout drawings.
- Experience sizing and specifying electrical components on electrical panels.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Five+ years of electrical engineering experience, plus past leadership experience.
- Experience designing to the requirements of established industry quality standards (i.e. ISO 9001).
- Proficiency using computer-based data entry systems such as MS Office.
