Description

The Culinary Supervisor is accountable for overseeing the culinary operations within the facility.

This role involves providing leadership and support to the dietary team while collaborating closely with the dietitian to ensure the effective delivery of food services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Guaranteeing that high-quality and nutritionally balanced meals are served to patients, staff, and visitors.
  • Planning menu selections and managing supply orders.
  • Maintaining accurate records and financial accounts as necessary.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, as well as state and local regulations regarding food service.
  • Implementing food service processes that encompass assessment, planning, execution, and evaluation to enhance the quality of food services.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Completion of culinary arts training or equivalent experience through an apprenticeship program is mandatory.

A minimum of one year of experience in a reputable food production setting or institution is required.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

ServSafe Certification or a comparable food safety certification is required as per state and facility regulations.
