LPN - Ambulatory Care Clinic - Days

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in the delivery of patient care in the ambulatory care clinic setting. Under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP), the LPN functions within the scope of practice dictated by the State Boards of Nursing.
The LPN demonstrates professional and clinical knowledge relative to the designated clinical practice setting, adhering to the level of verified competency dictated by the site-specific program. As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the LPN supports and communicates effectively with other licensed independent practitioners (Physicians, NP, PA) in collaboration while providing care and treatment for patients, clinical support, and teaching for patient and family members.
The LPN manages responsibilities of workload with accuracy, provides excellence in customer service, performs testing, medication administration, and implements nursing interventions and care plans to support a holistic approach to patient care. The LPN serves as a patient advocate in the prevention of illness or disease.

- Manage workload with accuracy and provide excellent customer service
DIP - Diploma: Nursing (Required)
TS - Trade School Graduate: Nursing (Required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Nursing License - Other/National
