Manufacturing Operations Specialist

The ideal candidate will possess excellent collaboration and leadership skills, with experience in production preparation and new model launches. This position plays a critical role in ensuring timely and safe project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement installation schedules, vendor coordination, and safety audits.
- Prepare and present bids for equipment installation, review submissions, and award contracts based on cost-effectiveness, schedule adherence, and commitment to excellence.
- Lead construction and battery equipment installation, including scheduling, contractor management, and addressing daily challenges.
- Frequent updates regarding project status will be provided to senior management, including executive-level updates on overall project status, safety, schedule, and critical activities during daily status check meetings.
- Cross-functional teamwork is essential to ensure all project aspects are planned and executed safely and efficiently, engaging Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to develop a unified voice among stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and co-ops to help them grow technically and individually, challenging them to apply their skills in solving complex problems related to the project.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or a similar technical field, or 10+ years of equivalent experience in manufacturing.
- 5+ years of experience in Production Preparation or Manufacturing and experience in executing capital projects from initial planning to start of production.
- 5+ years of experience in creating and implementing processes in a manufacturing environment, including takt time study, line balancing, and cycle time reduction.
- 3+ years of experience in managing large capital projects over $10M, including creating and maintaining schedules, tracking milestones from project creation to completion.
- Experience with 2D CAD software for designing and reviewing machine/structural drawings.
- Ability to work weekend and shutdown shifts as needed.
Salary Information:
The estimated annual salary for this position is between $90,000 and $120,000, depending on qualifications and experience. A comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and flexible spending accounts, is also offered.
