Account Manager Job Description

ArcBest is a leading logistics company seeking a skilled Account Manager to join our team in Raleigh, NC. As an Account Manager, you will play a critical role in growing and maintaining profitable business relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify customer challenges and develop solutions to create opportunities for growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through regular communication and face-to-face meetings.
  • Monitor industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to stay ahead of the competition.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies.
  • Negotiate service requirements and prices to establish mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Assist in collection process and cargo claim prevention as needed.
  • Maintain accurate territory account information in our database.
  • Complete monthly sales audit reports and expense reports as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience.
  • Transportation industry and related sales experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of business solutions, competitors, and decision makers preferred.
  • Current and legal driver's license to operate a motor vehicle.
