Job Summary

Ocean Health Initiatives is seeking a highly skilled Family Medicine Physician to join our team. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will be responsible for providing primary medical care to our patients, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide primary medical care to patients, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, specialists, and support staff, to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, taking into account patient medical history, current health status, and treatment goals.
  • Conduct health screenings and provide health education to patients, promoting healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient care.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, ensuring clear understanding of treatment plans and health status.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance patient care.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including nursing, pharmacy, and laboratory, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Adhere to Ocean Health Initiatives' policies and procedures, maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Active State of New Jersey Medical Doctor License.
  • New Jersey State Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine.
  • Active New Jersey CDS and DEA License to prescribe and maintain controlled substances.
  • BLS for providers through the American Heart Association.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
