Job Title: Service Manager

At Louisiana CAT, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to join our team. As a Service Manager, you will be responsible for leading our Electric Power Service Department, ensuring efficient shop operations, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and direction to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction, employee engagement, and profitability.
  • Manage the Electric Power Service Department's P&L and conduct regular staff meetings to coordinate activities, provide guidance, and communicate company strategy.
  • Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Electric Power Service Department team, including managing a preventive maintenance schedule for customers under PM contracts.
  • Develop customer quotes for complex jobs and execute the approval process, maintaining communication with customers regarding the status of services being performed on their equipment.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of relevant management or industry-related experience.
  • Exceptional communication, management, leadership, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to carry on effective, written and spoken, communication with customers to maintain a high level of customer loyalty and satisfaction.
  • Ability to work well and collaborate with vendors, Caterpillar Corporate, and other departments within Louisiana CAT.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as an Equipment Manager or Service Manager/Supervisor in a related industry.
  • Working knowledge of Caterpillar programs DBS, SIS 2.0, SMISi, and TMI, as well as other systems such as Service Link, Sales Link, and Salesforce.
  • Technical knowledge of engines, generators, control systems, automatic transfer switches, and paralleling switchgear.
  • Working knowledge of P&L and basic financial statements.
  • Ability to understand, interpret, and leverage performance metrics related to efficiency, productivity, profitability, safety, market share, resource deployment, and general operations.
