Role Responsibilities:

We are seeking a Crisis Therapist - Rapid Response Clinician to enhance our Crisis team. The Clinician will be tasked with conducting a comprehensive clinical evaluation of a child referred by the Department of Child Safety or Juvenile courts. This evaluation will encompass a developmental screening for children aged 0-5, an assessment of their current living conditions to identify needs, and the provision of necessary resources to ensure the child's overall stability (ages 0-18). The Clinician will also perform risk assessments and therapeutic interventions, including de-escalation techniques, crisis support, and behavior management strategies in collaboration with the child's caregiver or facility staff. This role involves both community and facility-based work, and the Clinician will be responsible for making referrals to community partners for ongoing support. Timely completion of clinical documentation and coordination with the Department of Child Safety and Juvenile courts is essential. *Flexibility to work Days, Nights, and Weekends is required.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree in a Behavioral Health field is mandatory.
  • Experience in the behavioral health sector, particularly with children in the care of the Department of Child Safety (formerly CPS) or the Arizona Children's Behavioral Health System, is essential.
  • Familiarity with the Children's RBHA system is preferred.
  • Attention to detail, effective time management, and strong customer service skills are crucial.
  • A Fingerprint clearance card or eligibility to obtain one is required.
  • A valid Arizona driver's license with no significant infractions in the past three years is necessary.
  • Regular access to reliable transportation is required.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) candidates are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age at the time of employment.

  • Ability to maintain composure in crisis situations, work independently and collaboratively, recognize personal limitations, and engage positively and empathetically with individuals of all backgrounds.
  • Uphold professional conduct in line with ethical standards and agency policies.
  • Foster positive working relationships with internal and external team members, stakeholders, and community partners.
  • If driving for agency purposes, a valid Arizona driver's license and appropriate liability insurance are required, along with a clean driving record.
  • All direct client service staff must be at least 21 years old, while support service staff must be at least 18 years old.
