Job Summary
As an Operations Planning Lead, you will spearhead high-level problem-solving initiatives while nurturing the professional development of planners under your guidance. Your responsibilities will include analyzing material and program reports to pinpoint issues and formulate actionable strategies for resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the daily operations of bench top and shop floor planners.
- Develop and maintain specialized reports.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve challenges.
- Uphold company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Monitor performance metrics and take necessary actions.
- Participate actively in program closure activities.
- Communicate and clarify departmental objectives and metrics.
- Ensure adherence to monthly budgets, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Advocate for and uphold the mission, values, and culture of the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or engineering preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in a high-technology environment.
- Proficient knowledge of supply chain management tools and processes.
- Proven management skills, particularly in influence management and conflict resolution.
- Experience throughout the product lifecycle, including New Product Introduction and obsolescence management, strategic supplier selection, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Familiarity with finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing, and compliance with DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, and DFAR regulations.
- Strong customer interface capabilities.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
- Proven success in managing manpower planning, program reviews, scheduling, and budget control.
- A successful track record in managing complex aerospace and defense supply chain activities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills. U.S. Citizenship is required.
This position necessitates an active DOD security clearance or the capability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable timeframe after starting employment.
