Job Summary:
The Alabama 4-H Center, a picturesque camp and conference venue set within 264 acres of scenic forest on Lay Lake, is seeking dedicated housekeeping personnel to enhance our team.
Temporary Employment Services (TES), part of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, serves as an internal support center designed to fulfill the temporary staffing requirements of the university. TES is committed to providing skilled and reliable temporary workers across various roles to support campus operations. Temporary staff may be engaged for several reasons, including:
- Covering for regular employees during their absence for a specified duration
- Providing additional support during peak periods or unusual workloads
- Assisting with special projects
- Seasonal employment
- Responding to emergencies
Note: AU student employees are not eligible for TES positions.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform essential housekeeping tasks, including but not limited to, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing restrooms, doing laundry, sweeping, dusting, scrubbing, and other cleaning duties.
- Utilize commercial laundry machines effectively.
- Occasionally assist in setting up and dismantling tables, chairs, and audio-visual equipment for events.
- May carry out minor maintenance tasks such as changing light bulbs and other custodial responsibilities.
- May be required to operate power and floor cleaning equipment.
- Receive, stock, organize, and unload supplies from vendors for various storage areas.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations as outlined by the Alabama 4-H Center and Auburn University.
Ability to work with various cleaning agents.
Expectations:
- Punctuality and reliability are essential.
- Attention to detail and effective time management skills are required.
Salary Range: $10.00-$12.00/hour
Work Hours: Flexible shifts based on operational needs, typically from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with some weekend events.
