Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Technician to join our team at Holt of California. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing diagnosis, repairs, and maintenance on various types of material handling machinery and attachments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough machine inspections and diagnose issues with electrical, hydraulic, engine, and powertrain systems.
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Use computer diagnostic tooling and manufacturer software systems to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
  • Read, trace, and apply electrical and hydraulic schematics to complex machine systems.
  • Complete electronic data entry and paperwork, including service reports, time entry, warranty tickets, and inspections.
  • Communicate repair directions and make warranty recommendations.
  • Work individually or as part of a team, including coaching and mentoring technicians as needed.
  • Promote a positive safety culture and follow company safety policies and regulations.
  • Stay current on all safety training and certifications, including OSHA, MSHA, fork-lift, and Smith Driving.
Requirements
  • 5 or more years of equipment repair experience or equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
  • Class B or C Driver License.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write service reports.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
