About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Operations Manager to lead our regional operations team in Chicago. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the market hits operating metrics and consistently meets or exceeds defined targets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Excellence: Manage warehouse operations to ensure operational excellence and compliance in collaboration with Facilities and Environment Health & Safety teams.
  • Regional Expertise: Be the operational expert within your region, championing a culture of operational excellence, owning end-to-end operational improvements, advising cross-functional teams, and engaging in strategic discussions with key external stakeholders.
  • Analysis and Optimization: Regularly analyze your region, identifying trends and implementing recommendations to grow and optimize.
  • Operations Strategy: Define and implement an operations strategy for your region that advances the deployment and operation of our vehicles, including workforce planning, request for proposal (RFP) prep, and competitor monitoring.
  • Talent Management: Attract and develop top-tier operational talent for your region, including planning, hiring, onboarding, and training new team members within a warehouse environment.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Lime in partnership with our Government Relations team, meeting with local officials, business owners, and customers as a representative of Lime to ensure compliance with regulations and to build relationships with key external stakeholders.
  • Safety Initiatives: Spearhead safety initiatives for our riders and vehicles to ensure safety remains the #1 priority.
  • Culture and Inclusion: Create a positive, inclusive, and safe workplace where people genuinely want to work.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 5+ years of work experience in operations, consulting, engineering, or similar fields.
  • Operational Excellence: Demonstrated background in driving and executing operational excellence.
  • Financial Management: Experienced in managing a P&L.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to understand metrics and KPIs and the levers to pull to drive results.
  • Location Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the location in which you support.
  • Warehouse Experience: Comfortability working in a warehouse setting.
  • People Management: 3+ years people management experience, attracting, developing, and motivating warehouse staff.
  • Analytical Mindset: Analytically minded with a strong understanding of real-time marketplaces (supply and demand economics) and the ability to navigate, decode, and use data to build compelling narratives and reports.
Preferred Experience:
  • Bilingualism: Bilingual Spanish/English.
  • Lean Six-Sigma Certification: Lean Six-Sigma Certification (Yellow, Green, Black, or Master Black Belt).
Compensation:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $89,000-$122,000. Equity and benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, depending on the position offered.

Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience, and other qualifications as well as the candidate's location of residence.

In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for a variable bonus based on a combination of company performance, employee performance, and management discretion.
