Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop high-quality proposal content for Federal Government IT, Cloud, and AI-related requirements.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop technical and non-technical content.
  • Work closely with the graphics team to create visual aids.
  • Develop draft outlines for proposal documents based on Federal Government solicitations.
  • Produce structured written content of a technical and non-technical nature.
  • Lead or support technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) interviews and translate technical information into proposal content.
  • Assist in producing other marketing collateral in support of sales activities.
  • Ensure grammatical correctness and compliance of all written materials.
  • Edit, standardize, and revise material prepared by other staff members.
Requirements:
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong ability to write clearly and concisely with correct grammar and punctuation.
  • Familiarity with the Shipley model (color team process) of proposal development.
  • Ability to work with a variety of people in a deadline-driven, high-accountability, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail required.
  • Ability to continually learn and adapt in a constantly evolving technology environment.
  • Understanding of Federal Government procurement market is a requirement.
  • Previous experience as a Proposal Writer for U.S. Federal Government customers.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree with 2-4 years work experience as a Proposal Writer.
  • Experience working in SharePoint a plus.
  • Experience in selling IT services or other IT offerings preferred.
Work Environment:

By Light Professional IT Services LLC will provide a laptop and associated hardware and software. Core hours are 9am-5pm ET with flex time available and remote work options. Occasional evening or weekend work required based on project deadlines.
