A global industrial parts and machinery manufacturer in Madison, AL, is currently seeking a Japanese Bilingual Mechanical Engineer.

This role involves designing welding parts and systems using 3D/2D CAD software based on project requirements, specifications, and plans, while closely collaborating with the technical team in Japan.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of mechanical engineering experience and be bilingual in Japanese.

Responsibilities:
Design and develop products in collaboration with the engineering team in Japan based on client specifications.
Develop and coordinate 3D designs for welding jigs and machines.
Evaluate designs to identify opportunities for improvement and cost-effectiveness.
Ensure accuracy in drawings, meeting specified requirements, and deliver within allocated budgets and timelines.
Resolve issues related to maintenance, error prevention, and on-site measurements.
Engage in all project phases, from initial meetings to design, assembly, and testing.
Conduct usability tests and incorporate modifications based on test results.
Utilize SolidWorks and other CAD modeling software to create machine concepts, models, and designs for fixtures and tooling.
Collaborate across departments to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD software is mandatory.
Fluency in Japanese is required.
2 years of mechanical engineer experience required.
Prior experience in automotive parts design is a plus
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is advantageous.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally is essential for this role. (up to 20%)
