Job Summary

We are seeking an Investment Analyst to join our dynamic team in Austin, Texas, or Evanston/Chicago, Illinois. The successful candidate will support the Transaction Management Team in building and enhancing proprietary investment models, pricing residential mortgage pools, and executing purchase and sale transactions. This is a unique opportunity to work collaboratively across our cross-functional teams and learn from industry-leading professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Learn and maintain proprietary mortgage database through data collection, cleansing, and upload.
  • Develop and enhance proprietary investment and pricing models.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for investors, vendors, and internal constituencies.
  • Coordinate due diligence and trade confirmations to ensure timely review and settlement.
  • Review due diligence results and document findings with the Transaction Manager.
  • Facilitate the settlement process, including repricing and executing closing documentation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or Economics from a top undergraduate program.
  • 0-2 years of experience in residential loan markets, preferably with experience in capital markets, hedge funds, or asset management.
  • Proven record of creating spreadsheet-based reports and analyses, with advanced knowledge of MS Excel and VBA.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external constituents.
