About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Trust and Estate Tax Professional with expertise in trust and estate tax compliance, planning, and consulting. This role requires a hands-on professional with strong technical knowledge, leadership abilities, and excellent client relationship management skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Trust and Estate Tax Compliance: Prepare and review complex trust, estate, and gift tax returns (Forms 1041, 706, and 709), ensuring accuracy and compliance with current regulations.
  • Tax Planning and Advisory: Collaborate with clients to develop and implement strategic tax planning solutions for trusts, estates, and high-net-worth individuals.
  • Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing proactive guidance on tax strategies, compliance matters, and legislative changes.
  • Research and Analysis: Stay current on federal, state, and local tax laws, performing in-depth research on complex tax issues and presenting findings in clear, actionable ways.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support to enhance their technical and professional skills.
  • Process Optimization: Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in tax preparation and advisory services.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Masters in Taxation or related discipline preferred).
  • Certification: CPA license is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax, with a focus on trusts and estates. Experience in public accounting, wealth management, or a specialized tax advisory firm is highly preferred.

Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
