Job Overview

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

The Industrial Maintenance Specialist is tasked with executing equipment setup, diagnosing issues, repairing machinery, and performing corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance on all equipment and facilities managed by WIKA USA.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Conducts emergency and unscheduled repairs on machinery.


• Diagnoses and fixes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.


• Monitors equipment during operation to identify malfunctions.


• Evaluates used components to determine necessary replacements or upgrades.


• Adjusts functional parts of machinery and control devices.


• Repairs or replaces faulty components.


• Installs specialized functional and structural components in machinery.


• Lubricates and cleans machinery parts.


• Initiates machinery to verify operational performance.


• Performs tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, masonry, equipment relocation, and painting.


• Conducts preventive maintenance on equipment, including oil changes, belt replacements, and filter changes as outlined in work orders.


• Fabricates and modifies components to restore equipment functionality.


• Maintains industrial machinery.


• Interprets equipment manuals and schematics.


• May engage in electrical troubleshooting and installation as needed.


• Adheres to OSHA Safety and Health Regulations.


• Executes additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:


• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, along with five years of relevant experience or a comparable combination of education and experience.


• Proficient in reading and interpreting safety guidelines, operational procedures, maintenance instructions, and technical drawings.


• Capable of composing routine reports and correspondence; effective communication skills for group presentations.


• Demonstrated ability to perform calculations involving proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; familiarity with basic algebra and geometry concepts.


• Ability to apply common sense to follow written, oral, or diagrammatic instructions; adept at identifying complex issues and evaluating information to develop solutions.


• Required mechanical and basic electrical experience; pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge is essential. Strong mechanical aptitude and manufacturing experience are preferred, particularly in a lean environment. Must be capable of monitoring performance and implementing improvements or corrective measures.
