About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Avionics Systems Engineer to lead our E-2D HECTR program as a Release Train Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for spearheading the internal execution of our domain teams that are redefining our avionics systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the technical project design, development, and test activities of a Flight2 avionics systems program tailored for special mission aircraft.
  • Lead system projects, manage Agile planning activities, and provide expert guidance to multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Coordinate project staffing with engineering management and provide accurate forecasts of staffing demand.
  • Engage in risk and opportunities management throughout the project execution, ensuring optimal outcomes.
  • Analyze project health metrics and present project statuses to multiple levels of leadership.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status).
  • Proven experience in software, hardware, or systems engineering disciplines with effective technical leadership during pursuit, capture, and execution of programs.
  • Prior project management experience as a domain Project Engineer (or equivalent).
  • Ability to travel domestically 10-20% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading large-scale engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Proficiency with Atlassian suite of tools, including JIRA.
  • Deep knowledge of Avionics Systems and architectures.
