Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our Avionics team at RTX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing objectives for requirements management, reliability, logistics, and coordination of different teams for large or complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the cost, effectiveness, and reliability of activities and recommend modifications to optimize resources, prioritize spending, and ensure that standards are met.
  • Research and evaluate investments or changes in technology, resources, procedures, equipment, systems, or other assets to improve the quality of the organization's systems products and services.
  • Provide analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and develop verification criteria and plans for the requirements.
  • Perform analysis at all levels of the total system product including concept, design, fabrication, modeling, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

Requirements:

  • Must possess at least a bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive experience as an Embedded Systems Engineer or related role in the Avionics industry.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience with capturing and analyzing customer requirements.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of experience with decomposing customer requirements into clear system and subsystem architecture/requirements.
  • Must possess at least 2 years of experience with performing system integration, testing and validation of complex embedded avionics systems.
  • Must possess at least 2 years of experience with performing system design requiring planning and coordination of development tasks across multiple subsystem functional areas.
  • Must possess at least 2 years of experience with developing system operation and requirement-based test cases and procedures.
  • Must possess at least 1 year of experience with aircraft cabin management systems, audio/video consumer-based electronics or in-flight entertainment systems development lifecycle.

  • A competitive salary range of $105,539.00 to $163,000.00 USD per year.
