We are seeking an experienced and skilled Professional to join our team as a Program Coordinator for Tribal Initiatives in the North Olympic Peninsula Region. This exciting opportunity will allow you to make a real difference in the lives of rural communities.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in planning, community engagement, economic development, and/or workforce development for Tribal, government, or nonprofit organizations.

About the Position:

  • Provide support to Recompete sub-recipients (Jamestown S'Klallam Tribe, Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe, Makah Tribe, Quileute Tribe, Hoh Tribe, and City of Forks) to ensure they are making progress toward program milestones.
  • Provide technical assistance to Recompete sub-recipients and the South Hood Canal Chamber of Commerce with strategic planning, program planning, grant research, and grant writing for economic development and workforce development projects aligned with Recompete.
  • Conduct regular check-in meetings with Recompete sub-award recipients.
  • Schedule and facilitate quarterly project meetings that bring together all sub-recipients and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Work with Executive Director and Grant Administrator to ensure that all sub-recipients provide timely reporting and maintain compliance with Recompete guidelines and requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; additional years of experience may substitute for this requirement.
  • Minimum of 5 years professional experience in planning, community engagement, economic development, and/or workforce development for Tribal, government, or nonprofit organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience working for or with Tribes.
  • Demonstrated success in writing and managing federal grants.
  • Cultural sensitivity and ability to work with and relate to people with a wide variety of backgrounds, education, and experiences.
  • Excellent communication ability in written and spoken English.
  • Proficient in use of computers, including email, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software; familiarity with Apple platform preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Must live in Jefferson or Clallam County, Washington, or be willing to relocate.

Employer Benefits:

This position offers a competitive salary range of $68,640 - $72,720 annually, dependent on qualifications. The position also includes employer-paid health, vision, and dental insurance, generous paid leave, and a flexible work schedule.
