Senior Corporate Tax Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a finance company to fill a Senior Corporate Tax Accountant position. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate tax and experience working with enterprise software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual income tax provisions
  • Collaborate with a Big Four Tax firm to prepare and review federal and state income tax returns
  • Prepare sales-use and city-business license tax returns, as well as personal property tax statements
  • Support income tax and sales-use tax audits
  • Prepare miscellaneous non-tax filings, including census reports and 911 emergency reports
  • Research and respond to tax notices as needed
  • Assist with various ad-hoc requests and other initiatives
  • Conduct research on income tax, ASC 740, sales & use tax, payroll, and other indirect taxes
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues
  • Experience working with enterprise software is a plus
  • Proficiency in GAAP and SEC reporting requirements, as well as experience researching tax matters
Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, with a minimum of 3 years' relevant experience
