Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Medical City Denton. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff.
  • Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
  • Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Nurse license in Texas or a compact license.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
