Job Description

Overview:

Cavender's is a retail apparel and footwear company seeking an experienced Assistant Store Manager to assist in the management of our retail facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting store operations, supervising associates, and acting as a Store Manager in their absence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive Business Results: Assist in managing the day-to-day operation of the store, including sales growth, profit margins, and expense control.
  • Lead by Example: Supervise and train new associates, ensuring they understand Cavender's culture, policies, and procedures.
  • Operational Excellence: Maintain a deep understanding of store operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and customer service.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with the Store Manager to ensure seamless communication and execution of business strategies.
  • Safety and Security: Maintain a safe working environment, reporting any incidents or accidents to the Store Manager promptly.
  • Employee Development: Assist in training and developing associates, helping them grow professionally and personally.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with opening and closing store procedures, banking, and other administrative duties as assigned.
  • Maintenance and Improvement: Assist in maintaining the interior and exterior appearance of the store, including staff appearance and overall visual appeal.
  • HR and Compliance: Assist with HR-related tasks, such as reviewing timecards, resolving personnel issues, and maintaining records.
  • Quality Control: Assist in identifying and addressing shrinkage control issues, working to minimize losses and protect company assets.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing complaints and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.

Benefits:

Cavender's offers a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for career advancement.
