Your responsibilities will encompass evaluating potential opportunities, devising innovative solutions, and articulating proposal strategies to various stakeholders within the company. This is a technical position that necessitates a thorough understanding of complex technical requirements documents as part of the proposal process.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute significantly to the creation of technical proposals, serving both as a writer and an editor.
- Oversee the proposal process, focusing on continuous enhancement and efficiency of future proposal initiatives.
- Analyze and summarize intricate requirements of new customer opportunities.
- Decompose proposal tasks and coordinate the collection of inputs from technical experts within the organization.
- Establish and maintain proposal timelines.
- Assist in the development of supporting visuals and materials for proposals.
- Edit proposals to ensure clarity, accuracy, and readability.
- Ensure compliance with submission guidelines.
- Maintain a repository of frequently utilized proposal information.
- Support other teams with writing, editing, and communication tasks, including technical white papers when feasible.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or a related field.
- Over 5 years of proven experience in a writing and/or editing capacity.
- At least 2 years of experience in publishing professional documents.
- Ability to convey technical information clearly and professionally.
- Expertise in planning and managing schedules effectively.
- Degree in engineering, science, journalism, English, technical writing, or professional writing.
- More than 5 years of demonstrated experience in writing government proposals or grants.
- Technical knowledge relevant to the Aerospace sector.
- Proven ability to manage extensive writing projects.
- Experience in composing academic papers or technical white papers.
- Familiarity with FAR/DFARS regulations.
- Exceptional English writing skills.
- Possession of an active TS/SCI clearance.
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay are assessed on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, full-time hires may also be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of stock options, along with access to medical, vision, and dental coverage, as well as a 401(k) retirement plan.
To comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), candidates must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents of the U.S., or protected individuals as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
