As the Lead Forecasting Engineer, your main role will involve spearheading the creation of forecasting and statistical models tailored for our enterprise solutions designed for manufacturers and distributors. You will collaborate closely with various teams, including software development, analytics, and decision-making systems, as outlined in the responsibilities below.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct the design and implementation of diverse forecasting algorithms for our enterprise solutions.
  • Develop statistical models to support our analytics and business intelligence (BI) offerings.
  • Enhance and refine the existing analytics capabilities of our enterprise solutions.
  • Improve the current forecasting and material requirements planning (MRP) systems.
  • Incorporate new forecasting algorithms for widespread application across our software.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in writing SQL queries for relational databases.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or similar statistical tools.
  • Familiarity with algorithms including clustering, forecasting, anomaly detection, and neural networks.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git.
  • Understanding of basic statistics and regression algorithms; experience with Microsoft Linear Regression in SQL Server is advantageous.
  • Basic knowledge of C# and ASP.Net is a plus.
  • Experience with front-end technologies and frameworks like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Education and Experience:

  • 2 - 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • BS, MS, or PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or Engineering.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English.
