Job Title: Early Childhood Education Specialist

At Sheltering Arms Early Education and Family Centers, we are seeking an experienced Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team. This is a full-time position that requires a strong passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality educational experiences for young children.

About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled professional with at least 5 years of experience in classroom settings and 2 years of experience supervising adults in a child care & education setting. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field and excellent communication skills. The salary for this position is estimated to be around $65,000 per year, depending on location and experience.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing curriculum materials necessary for the implementation of the educational program. This includes working one-on-one with classroom staff to foster continued professional growth and development, checking lesson plans weekly and giving feedback and approval, and ensuring that resource and supply areas are organized and orderly. Additionally, the specialist will provide onsite staff training for teachers and parents and assist with area and agency training.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of child development principles and practices, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people. The candidate should also be able to lift at least 50 lbs, visually observe and hear children from all areas of the classroom and playground from a distance of at least 70 feet, and sit on floor and interact with children. A Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field is preferred but not required. Travel to various center locations may be required.
