About the Role

As a Clinical Educator at Mount Carmel Health System, you will play a vital role in providing consultation and education to patients, families, staff, and physicians regarding the care of patients. You will assume a leadership role in issues relating to patient care and act as a change agent to support institutional initiatives pertaining to the care of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a role model in the management of select patient populations through direct or indirect care
  • Act as a leader in monitoring, evaluating, and helping to establish the standard of practice
  • Assess the learning needs of colleagues within patient care settings and develop programs to meet those needs
  • Develop, review, and revise standards of care, policies, procedures, practice guidelines, classes, and protocols of care to reflect current evidence-based practice and changing technology
  • Promote and participate in ongoing research in clinical practice
  • Develop patient education materials that are easy-to-read and culturally sensitive
  • Utilize various platforms to provide education and promote learning
