Key Responsibilities

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be tasked with:
  • Monitoring and analyzing cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks, ensuring robust oversight.
  • Supporting integrated cyber defense initiatives, coordinating and maintaining security toolsets for continuous monitoring and authorization programs.
  • Establishing a framework for measuring and quantifying cyber risk in the marketplace.
  • Evaluating business strategies and requirements to determine security needs; conducting thorough system security and vulnerability analyses; assessing risks; and identifying integration challenges.
  • Implementing security measures by specifying intrusion detection methodologies and equipment; overseeing installation and calibration of systems; and preparing both preventive and reactive strategies.
  • Verifying security systems through the development and execution of test scripts, while maintaining compliance with standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Designing, developing, and integrating DoD IA architectures and systems for various computing and network environments.
  • Ensuring the functionality and security of development and operational systems, including program of record systems and specialized processing nodes.
Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience, with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Possession of one of the following certifications is mandatory:
    • AWS Certified Developer-Associate
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Associate
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect-Professional
    • AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
    • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKAD)
    • Elastic Certified Engineer
    • Elastic Certified Observability Engineer
  • At least eight (8) years of experience in software development/engineering, covering requirements analysis, development, installation, integration, evaluation, enhancement, maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in system engineering and architecture.
  • Seven (7) years of experience with products that support highly distributed, massively parallel computation needs.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or Ruby for software automation, with a minimum of seven (7) years of experience.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience managing and monitoring large cloud systems.
  • Experience in providing technical direction for the development, engineering, integration, and testing of comprehensive hardware/software systems.
  • Required expertise in ElasticSearch, AWS, and System Administration or DevOps.
  • Key skills include:
    • AWS Commercial Cloud experience
    • Elastic Experience (AWS cloud or other)
    • Puppet/SIMP experience
