Key Responsibilities
  • Hiring and Training

The Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for hiring, training, and motivating team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional guest service.

Staffing and Scheduling

The supervisor is responsible for monitoring the daily scheduling process to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained to meet guest service levels and profit goals.

Training and Development

The supervisor provides training to team members on responsible alcohol service, tobacco sales, and exceptional guest service. They also train team members on proper food handling techniques and food safety.

Performance Evaluation

The supervisor evaluates the performance of team members, provides coaching and feedback to ensure performance and guest standards are met.

Inventory and Equipment Management

The supervisor is responsible for maintaining company funds and equipment in an orderly manner.

Documentation and Compliance

The supervisor reviews and comprehends all necessary documentation and ensures compliance with laws and regulations.

Special Events

The supervisor advises the organization on beverage-related issues, such as planning special events, to provide expertise for successful implementation.

Appearance and Conduct

The supervisor maintains a well-groomed, neat, and clean appearance and performs other related duties as assigned.

Working Conditions and Essential Functions

The Food and Beverage Supervisor must be able to:

  • Work in a fast-paced environment with varying levels of crowds, noise, and smoke.
  • Stand throughout an eight-hour shift.
  • Observe and direct actions of subordinates.
  • Effectively communicate with all levels of team members and guests.
  • Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
Job Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the gaming industry and strong public relations skills. Experience with beverage operations in a multi-venue or casino environment is required, with at least three years in a supervisory capacity preferred. A high school degree or equivalent is required, with business-related college courses preferred.

Regulatory and Compliance Responsibilities

Every team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Attend required training sessions offered by the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
  • Perform duties in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
  • Have knowledge of ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the team member's department.
  • Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
  • Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management.
