Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Le Pain Quotidien - Villa Marina. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and executing all menu items, including seasonal and specials, to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items, including those for dine-in and to-go, according to LPQ standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to cleaning checklists and assisting with cleaning duties as needed
  • Assist the Kitchen Manager in maintaining proper food par levels and using prep sheets to prepare correct quantities
  • Conduct line checks to ensure quality control and use proper tools, equipment, and ingredients for each menu item
  • Follow all opening, mid, and closing procedures as directed by checklists and the Kitchen Manager
  • Follow and complete Le Pain Quotidien cleaning and food safety checklists to ensure proper food handling

Qualifications

  • 1 or 3 months of related restaurant experience or training
  • Previous knife-handling experience a plus
  • Flexibility in schedule is highly preferred but not required
  • Ability to be cross-trained in all areas of the kitchen preferred
  • Ability to speak, read, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location
