About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager to join our Finance team at Kuehne+Nagel. As a key member of our tax team, you will play a critical role in managing our direct and indirect taxes in the USA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead direct and indirect co-sourced arrangements with advisers to ensure timely tax filing obligations and payments
  • Oversee quarterly tax reporting and provide guidance on Effective Tax Rate (ETR) and cash taxes
  • Collaborate with tax colleagues and advisors on ETR and cash tax consequences of M&A, US tax consolidation, and international tax compliance
  • Develop and implement SALT planning strategies for both direct and indirect taxes
  • Manage US tax audits and collaborate with internal and external support teams
  • Streamline and enhance data collection for tax reporting and planning
  • Develop and lead a team of tax professionals, championing our tax department goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Master's Degree or equivalent with a specialization in tax
  • CPA certification is beneficial
  • 12+ years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in listed companies
  • Strong understanding of US Federal Tax, US multi-state taxation, and international tax laws
  • Proven experience with income and indirect tax audit dealings and external auditor dealings
  • Hands-on experience with ERP data gathering, tax automation, and championing initiatives for enhancing tax department maturity

The target total compensation range for this position is between $160,000 and $220,000. Base salary is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles.
