As a Home Health Aide (HHA), you will be responsible for delivering essential personal care services tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. Your role is crucial in ensuring that patients receive the support they require in a comfortable home environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with laundry and maintain cleanliness in the patient's living space.
- Provide reminders for medication schedules.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of patients.
- Communicate any significant changes in the patient's health status to the supervising nurse.
- Prepare light meals and assist patients with eating as needed.
- Monitor and document vital signs, including temperature.
- Support patients with mobility and ambulation.
- Guide patients through simple exercises and range of motion activities.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and adhere to established care protocols.
- Respect patient privacy and comply with infection control standards.
- Assist with bathing and personal hygiene.
- Offer companionship through activities such as reading or writing letters.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance.
- Preferred: Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
- Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions and document care accurately.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Must meet training requirements as per state and federal regulations. Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) are welcome to apply.
