Key Responsibilities
  • Supervision and Leadership
    • Supervise and train financial aid staff to ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial aid operations.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations, including the Higher Education Act and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
    • Stay up-to-date on changes to regulations and implement necessary changes to policies and procedures.
  • Student Services
    • Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and other stakeholders.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve student satisfaction and retention.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting
    • Develop and analyze financial reports to ensure accurate and timely financial aid disbursements.
    • Identify areas for cost savings and implement strategies to reduce costs.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required.
    • Master's degree from an accredited institution preferred.
  • Experience
    • Four (4) years of directly related experience required.
    • Five (5) years of experience preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to analyze financial data and develop strategies to improve financial aid operations.
    • Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional regulations.
Working Conditions

This is a sedentary position that requires sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. Positions in this class typically require talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, walking and repetitive motions. Relatively free from unpleasant environmental conditions or hazards. Office environment. Little physical effort required.
