Job Summary

MSCCN is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Airport Security Guard to join our team at the Pittsburgh International Airport. As an Airport Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the airport and its passengers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Control access to restricted areas of the airport
  • Screen and log vehicles accessing restricted areas
  • Conduct inspections of employees and visual inspections of belongings
  • Patrol airport premises as assigned
  • Issue temporary vehicle access media
  • Monitor airfield permits
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies
  • Provide passenger assistance
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least two years of verifiable previous contract security, military, or law enforcement experience
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
  • Able to provide proof of ability to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record necessary for some positions
  • Must be able to pass a Security Threat Assessment as administered by the Transportation Security Administration
  • Must be able to pass a Criminal History Record Check as required by the Transportation Security Administration
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to maintain regular attendance
  • Ability to provide quality customer service
Working Conditions:

The Airport Security Guard will work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to security cameras, alarms, and other security equipment. The position requires the ability to stand or walk for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and assist with lifting handicapped individuals.
