Automotive Shop Foreman

**Job Summary:**
We are seeking an experienced Automotive Shop Foreman to lead our team of technicians in achieving production goals, improving skill sets, and individual and team performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the growth of the business by improving operational efficiency and consistency of the vehicle reconditioning process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, manage, and develop the technician team to achieve production goals and improve skill sets.
- Ensure all positions are staffed and control the flow of vehicles through the Customer Service Shop process.
- Achieve daily and weekly production targets in mechanical work zones.
- Maintain tech billed hours per unit and accuracy at or below Mei Group standards.
- Oversee the vehicle approval process for mechanical inspection and manage vehicle priority dispatching using the Mei Group production system.
- Partner with third-party vendors to provide direction for mechanical production expectations and coverage as needed.
- Utilize reports, analyze information, and monitor trends to identify opportunities in buyer and vendor impact.
- Plan and schedule repair work and assign GPS installers to vehicles that match their skill level to ensure quality.
- Drive team and store performance by maintaining comeback standards and goals at or below company targets.
Requirements:
- Complete provided training in all areas of the production process.
- Multi-task in a high-energy, fast-paced work environment.
- 5 years of experience as a manager or automotive lead technician.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Working Conditions:
- May require walking or standing for an extended period.
- Combination of both indoor and outdoor environments, including working at times in noisy and/or inclement weather conditions.
- Rotating schedule with shifts that will include weekends, holidays, and 12-hour days.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $70,000 annually, plus a qualifying bonus. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, life, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan. We also provide paid holidays and personal time off (PTO) to support work-life balance and personal well-being.
