Norton Healthcare is seeking highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioners to join our team. As a Respiratory Care Practitioner, you will provide quality care to patients, initiate respiratory protocols, and evaluate the appropriateness of respiratory care modalities. You will also serve as a member of the patient care team, assess patient needs, develop care plans, and assist with discharge planning.
Responsibilities- Provide quality care to patients, including the initiation of respiratory protocols and evaluation of protocol steps.
- Serve as a member of the patient care team, assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and assisting with discharge planning.
- Participate in monitoring quality of care and organizing work-flow to maintain smooth transitions between shifts.
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the respiratory care services, including neat and accurate documentation, entering charges for patient billing, monitoring and ordering supplies and medications, and other duties as assigned.
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
- One of the following certifications: CRT (Certified Respiratory Therapist) or RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) - RRT must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- One year of experience in respiratory care in a critical care setting.
