Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute an annual programming calendar for Oesterle Library, collaborating with other library staff and campus departments.
  • Coordinate with the broader community on programming opportunities, maintaining a balance of academic and extracurricular programs.
  • Advertise and promote programs through various channels, including social media and print materials.
  • Record statistics and perform assessment of programs and related outreach activities.
Marketing Duties
  • Maintain Oesterle Library social media accounts, developing and following a calendar of social media posts for programs and other library services.
  • Coordinate promotional materials (print, online, etc) for Oesterle Library, ensuring consistency with college branding guidelines.
General Librarian Duties
  • Serve as liaison to various academic departments, participating in reference services, subject-specific library instruction, and collection development.
  • Teach or assist with the teaching of course-integrated library instructional sessions, which may include team-teaching.
  • Prepare instructional materials in various modalities, maintaining content in digital tools like LibGuides, and collaborating with others when appropriate.
  • Participate in library grant applications with the Director's approval.
  • Cooperate as a team member with library services staff in performing duties essential to efficient library operations.
Education and Experience

A Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited institution is required. Outreach and engagement experience in a public or academic library is strongly preferred, as is teaching or library instruction experience and collection development experience in an academic library setting.
