We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team as a Travel LPN. This opportunity allows an LPN to travel locally by working in various GSS locations within a 150-mile radius from home address, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

Job Summary

The Good Samaritan Society is a not-for-profit organization that has provided over 100 years of housing and services to seniors with a commitment to quality care and service in a Christian environment. As a Travel LPN, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, comfort, and safety of residents, administering medications or treatments as ordered, and providing technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents
  • Administer medications or treatments as ordered
  • Provide technical support to healthcare professionals as needed
  • Document resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, medication, behavior, activity, and dietary
  • Counsel residents, family members, and/or resident advocate, under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician on prevention and treatment plans
Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred. Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility. Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
