Job Summary
The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at our Pine River LTC facility. As a member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, working collaboratively with our healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities
• Provide professional nursing care to residents of all ages in long-term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician.
• Demonstrate knowledge of nursing principles for the resident in the relevant clinical setting, and practice within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge.
• Possess the ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status, and provide the care needed.
• Recognize problems, recommend solutions, and respond effectively to assist in an emergent situation.
Requirements
• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
• Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
• Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
• Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.
