Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Warehouse Inventory Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of inventory management within the ice cream production facility. This position is essential for maintaining optimal inventory levels and supporting purchasing and inventory functions, all while ensuring satisfaction for customers, team members, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Achieve set objectives in production, safety, quality, performance, and cost efficiency.
  2. Identify and report mechanical issues to enhance productivity and equipment performance.
  3. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and company policies.
  4. Provide administrative support to the leadership team.
  5. Maintain organized records in compliance with company standards.
  6. Collaborate with management on purchasing and invoicing processes.
  7. Post and reconcile work schedules regularly.
  8. Assist with inventory management, material procurement, and planning activities.
  9. Coordinate the scheduling of raw materials to align with production requirements.
  10. Facilitate communication between customers, sales, and production teams to resolve conflicts.
  11. Report daily progress and issues to the Plant Manager.
  12. Manage warehouse inventory and procure office supplies as necessary.
  13. Compile and distribute the monthly performance report with input from leadership.
  14. Complete special projects as directed by management.
  15. Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of office equipment.
  16. Support labor coordination for daily production and shipping operations.
  17. Deliver exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.
  18. Foster a safe and collaborative work environment, adhering to company policies.
  19. Assist in training on key production areas, including equipment operation.
  20. Maintain compliance with dairy processing regulations and safety standards.
  21. Actively promote a safe workplace and address safety concerns promptly.
  22. Report food safety issues and support food quality initiatives.
  23. Ensure sanitation practices are strictly followed in work areas.
  24. Facilitate effective communication across shifts and departments.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Proficient in basic to advanced mathematical concepts for job-related tasks.
  2. Ability to respond effectively to inquiries from employees, vendors, and customers.
  3. Strong command of the English language for effective communication.
  4. Understanding of the company's mission and goals, and how to contribute to them.
  5. Capability to operate necessary equipment within the assigned area.
  6. Completion of all required training programs.
  7. Ability to interpret company documents and product codes.

Education and Experience:

  1. High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  3. 1-3 years of experience in an administrative role.

Performance Expectations:

  1. Report to work punctually and communicate any absences in advance.
  2. Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code standards.
  3. Comply with performance standards and conduct guidelines as outlined in company policy.
  4. Ensure a safe working environment and report safety concerns immediately.
  5. Complete all assigned tasks and responsibilities diligently.

Work Schedule:

  1. Availability for morning, afternoon, and overnight shifts as required.
  2. Advance notice is required for scheduling requests.
  3. Typically scheduled for 40-45 hours per week, with potential for additional hours based on business needs.

Environmental Considerations:

  1. Work environment is generally climate-controlled, but exposure to varying weather conditions may occur.
  2. Potential exposure to allergens and chemicals used in food production and sanitation.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to navigate all areas of the facility, including production and warehouse spaces.
  2. Must wear personal protective equipment as necessary.
  3. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
  4. Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
  5. Visual acuity must be sufficient to perform job functions effectively.

The compensation for this position is determined by various factors, including skills, experience, and organizational needs. The estimated wage range is $19.50 to $23.50.
