Infosys is seeking a Senior SAP MM Consultant

This role demands a seasoned professional contributing to various stages of the consulting lifecycle. You will be deeply engaged in business process consulting; your responsibilities will include identifying issues, proposing solutions, and implementing them effectively. You will also be instrumental in the development, configuration, and deployment of comprehensive solutions. Your guidance will be essential for project teams regarding processes, deliverables, and you will contribute to proposal development, client training, and enhancing internal capabilities while helping to define project scope.

Essential Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited institution is required. Alternatively, three years of progressive experience in the specialty may be considered in lieu of each year of education.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Technology is required.
  • This position may involve travel and/or relocation.
  • U.S. Citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. Sponsorship is not available at this time.

Desirable Qualifications

  • At least 4 years of experience in SAP projects, including 2 years in full-life cycle implementation projects specifically in SAP MM.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and provide both conceptual and detailed designs to fulfill business needs, including necessary SAP configurations, writing detailed specifications for ABAP custom programs, testing, and implementing automated solutions.
  • Strong practical experience in Logistics Execution, EDI/Idoc Integration, and system integration is essential.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with B2B Integration and system-to-system integration of SAP through EDI/IDOC and other interface methods are crucial.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP custom application programs, enhancements, BADIs/BAPIs, interfaces, and user exits is required.
  • Experience in Master Data-related projects and Enterprise Portal is advantageous.
  • Ability to read ABAP code is necessary.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong analytical and communication abilities, are required.
  • Experience in project management is preferred, with expected planning and coordination skills.
  • Capability to write functional and technical specifications for ABAP custom solutions and interfaces.
  • Experience in Logistics Execution is essential.
  • Collaboration with business users to define scope and gather business requirements is necessary.
  • Testing and rollout of the final product is part of the responsibilities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple projects simultaneously is essential.
  • Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills are a must.
  • Proficient planning and coordination skills are required.
